  2.   JNSE VERSION OF ROYAL MELBOURNE- UPGRADE AND REFINEMENT BY Douglas Silfen.
  3.      
  4.     First I would like to thank R.Vasilik for his superb course lay out of
  5. Royal Melbourne. Now as to the changes for this JNSE upgrade: MANY! :
  6.       
  7.      1. Par was extended to 72 which is its correct par. 
  8.      2. Hole 14 was lengthened a made a par 5 from a par 4. (IT IS a par 5)
  9.      3. Many greens were smoothed out or changed to match actual undulation
  10.         and challenge of these monsters!
  11.      4. A few center lines were changed.
  12.      5. Complete new trees were laid out. Only the schrubery remains from the
  13.         original.
  14.      6. A new background was imported from Dan Raftery's Oakmont and modified
  15.         by adding the ocean!
  16.      7. Extra trees and objects were placed on the course.
  17.      8. A new "Links" type palette was created (inspired by Brent Blackburn)
  18.         to create the more brownish look of Royal Melbourne.
  19.      9. The Flag was made Yellow.
  20.     10. There HAD been NO course quotes. I added 18 course quotes!
  21.     11. I created the valley on hole 11 as it is supposed to be there.

  23.  Thanks to all those folks whose objects I used-The clubhouse is from Oakmont
  24.   by Salamon and Willet.  I hope you enjoy this JNSE upgrade of this classic
  25.   old course!
  26.            Course record as of 10-9-1993 was 64 set by Hale Irwin.

  28.     One last thing- I did that little map of Australia on the course plot as
  29.                     well!
